ESPN sees the value of esports coverage, even if the wide world of sports-lovers has yet to fully embrace the genre.
A new job posting seeks an editor to oversee all esports coverage on ESPN.com and beyond. The Disney-owned cable network and online sporting news outlet has a demonstrated interest in the realm of professional video game competitions, and the search for a proper editor suggests even more growth to come.
The to-be-hired editor's duties look standard for this sort of role. There's an expectation of daily news coverage, along with a regular flow of longer feature stories. The esports editor will also work with the larger ESPN organization — including the TV, radio and print groups — to bring pro gaming coverage into those media as well.
Parece que en ESPN estan buscando editores para cubrir todo lo que son esports en la pagina online de ESPN en un principio, pero dicho editor tambien trabajaría con la parte de TV y radio.
